Welcome back for Summer 2010

Hello,

Welcome back to those who have been away for co-op! This summer looks like it will be a fun filled term with lots of nice weather! We had our first chess meeting today in the SLC and eventually had the whole club move outside to the SLC courtyard to enjoy some nice weather and chess.

Please vote in the poll on the right if you haven't already done so...we will keep everyone up to date on our next chess club meeting as we're still sorting out a good time each week.

Also feel free to join our facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=30579885591&ref=ts and our mailing list by emailing alfy77@gmail.com.

Cheers,
Alfonso

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! It's already 2010 and 2 weeks has gone by. The CUCC is this coming weekend and we have two teams representing Waterloo. Both our A and B teams seem to have a very good chance with 2000+ players on all 4 boards for the A team.

The chess club is on its way. I am off stream and working this term but Neal is going to try and start something up. An email will probably be sent out some time soon.

Good luck for Winter 2010 =)
Alfonso
